The Honeymoon!

We spent the week after our awesome wedding doing the only appropriate thing we could think of - living it up in Negril, Jamaica... On the beach! And eating food! And everything! Note - there's a lot of photos here, so be patient while the page loads. I'd guess there's about 120 or so. Enjoy!

For the record - we stayed at an all inclusive hotel called "Couples - Swept Away". The food was excellent, the service better, and the beach was everything you would expect from a carribean island. All in all, money well spent. We'd recommend it to anyone who wants an awesome, relaxing week.

This was the day before, and honestly - Alex was sincerely hoping that he could go with us. I think he's kind of jealous of me now that Jaime and I are married and all. He used to be the man in her life.
At the airport. Our flight left at 6AM so it was pretty early - like 5:10 or something when we took this photo. Jaime wasn't too lively yet.
Well, maybe a little bit.
I was pretty excited that the flight was on time.
I was feeling a bit more lively than Jaime was as well, and found a wheelchair to keep me occupied. I was trying to drive around on two wheels, and quickly realized that this was not a good idea considering the injury potential and all that.
Wow - Jamaica! Our room was awesome. It was weird though - no windows, just screens and these slats you close over the screens to hold some of the AC in. Oh yeah - it was HOT - like 90 degrees and real humid each day.
I was excited, as you can see.
Looking out onto our Verandah.
We had a pretty cool concrete couch out there. Every building in Jamaica is made of concrete. It must be a lot cheaper than lumber.
Looking in the bathroom.
Jaime enjoying the spaciousness of our phat room.
Me enjoying the spaciousness of our phat hammock.
We had a visitor. We named him "Mufasa". He tried to sell us car insurance.
One of the many, many, many, many, many buffets that abounded throughout the resorts.
Jaime livin' it up.
This must be the funniest face I've made in a real long time.
Looking around the resturant. This place was called "The Palms"
Our room - 1224.
Looking out the room. There were lush, very well maintained gardens all over the property. Real nice.
Jaime on the beach, but something's missing....
There it is! Much better!
Yep, we sure were in the tropics.
Me, camping out in the shade like I did most of the week.
The sunset was wicked awesome the first night!
See how happy I look?
It really looks like I was photoshopped into this picture! But I wasn't! I was really there!
See, proof!
The sunset was real nice though, and it was this nice almost every night we were there!
That night we ate at "Lemongrass" a Taiwaneese resturant. The food was real good, and had some pretty phat spices in it.
Looking off the balcony from the resturant.
The band was playing when we left. They were all reggae bands (what would you expect?), but all very tight, and very good at moving the crowd.
See, people were dancing and everything.
Then we went to a bonfire on the beach, it was real laid back, and the guy playing guitar there played the song from our wedding "True Companions" as his second song. It was a real suprise.
Looking out along the island at night.
Fire!
We ordered room service breakfast the next day. Did you read the top? Everything was included. All the food, all the drinks, all the tips. Everything.
Me on the beach the next day, with my superman shirt on!
Thinking about my truck obviously.
We bounced back and fourth between the beach and our room, as it was so HOT! The AC was a welcome relief sometimes.
Enjoying our roomistan.
Jaime eating some grub.
Me, probably thinking about my truck again.
Testing out the bed.
Back to the beach, they had some real nice umbrellas there to hang out under which I greatly ejoyed as my goal was to avoid the sun if at all possible.
Another awesome sunset awaited us....
We like to write on sand.
Jaime, eagerly anticipating the sunset.
She could barely contain herself.
See!
Me neither.
We sat there and watched the crabs. Jaime caught one. They had big eye stalks, and real good camouflage, and walked sideways, and were real fast.
There was also a rainbow for our enjoyment.
The sun sank lower....
See how orange the light was?
It made us look pink.
Romance was in the air!
We were like two peas in a pod!
Ahh, nice clouds.
If you see those two black dots in the center, they're eyestalks from a big huge crab!
Here's the money shot right here. Can't get much better than this!
Ahhh, just seeing these makes me want to go back!
It was one of the nicest sunsets.
Ever.
Bye sunset!
All good things must come to an end. But the beach was still real awesome!
Especially with Huniaks on it!
Palm trees. They always remind me of hurricanes!
The clouds sure did some funky stuff too, to accent the awesome sunset.
Us on the beach, again, imaginarily photoshopped in!
This palm tree was wicked huge!
Hi Jaime!
Ummm, food. They had such a massive variety of food, we ate all kinds of crazy stuff.
Jaime enjoying her meal, as you can see.
Look at this dessert station! This was only about half of it!!!
The band was rockin' again. The entertainment was real good all around.
The resturant was real nice at night.
The lights really set it off.
Me in the hammock again. I spent a fair amount of time in it. I polished off "Black Hawk Down", and "The Davinci Code" while we were there.
Look, I was loaded! I had about $10,000 Jamaican dollars! But actually it was only about $150 USD.
Jaime decided to go waterskiing.
There's teh boat!
There's teh beach.
The waves were so small. Bummer that, if this beach had waves I'd stay there forever.
Waiting to go.
She's ready!
And 3...2...1...
Splash! She took a fall.
But she got up after another try.
And away she went!
Go Jaime!
I was a little bummed, but I didn't want to mess my back up.
Coming back...
The view off of our porch. The gardens there were so nice!
Look at that!
Beautiful.
Jaime getting ready to go to the beach.
Jaime thought this tree was awesome, and grabbed one of the roots, and was alarmed to see that this root bush had some suprises in store for people who grabbed its roots...
Spikes!
Sidewalk and plants.
Jaime from the balcony. Hi down there!
Back to the office!
Another perfect day.
Look at this place? What can beat that?
We lazed around a lot!
Ahhh..
There were a lot of boats too.
And beautiful azure water to compliment.
And wives.
And husbands.
A good shot of one of the umbrellas dotting the beach. They were a very high demand commodity, but when you get one, it's pretty awesome.
The beach again. I couldn't help but keep taking photos looking up the beach.
Look at the size of this bed! It was huge!
The room again.
This room had vaulted ceilings, and it was so spacious inside. It was like a castle!
We spent our last night there at the piano bar, with this guy named..."Ultimate Chocolate"
See, it's a bar shaped like a piano. And there is a piano too.
And there's Ultimate Chocolate. He was very entertaining.
The beach at night.
We ate our last meal at the patios patio, the newest resturant. We saw Jason Carlson there again.
The pools looked real nice at night. They're open 22 hours a day, so basically open game.
One of the many hot tubs.
Jaime in front of a big tree. And that concludes the honeymoon photos! It probably was the awesomest honeymoon ever. Yep, can't argue with that one. I'd recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a good tropical trip, and it really changed my opinions of all inclusives, that's for sure.
